Our story
Glowly was founded in 2019 when our founders, Emily Carter and James Wong, relocated to Indonesia. Their first priority was to open a bank account to receive their salaries, rent a home, and send money back to their families in the United States. However, in order to open an account, they were required to provide proof of address, utility bills, and numerous other documents—none of which they could obtain without already having a bank account.
After facing this frustrating challenge, they were determined to find a solution so that no one else would have to endure the same struggle. This led to the creation of Paymint: an online remittance service designed to make sending money abroad easier, cheaper, and faster for everyone.
